Pre-Fall Review: The Big Names (Part 5) - Spotlight on Roberto Cavalli

It's time to take some outfit inspiration from another great designer of our time, Mr Roberto Cavalli.

We generally associate the name Cavalli with animal prints and an earthy colour palette. This season was no exception. Cavalli's inspiration came from 1940s safari films, which meant there was an abundance of fur and leopard skin. He also made way for a few military inspired pieces, with strong tailoring and brass buttons. The collection began with a few luxe weekend ensembles and an almost sheer evening gown in leopard print. We then came across a pant-suit in a rich navy blue with embroidered pockets. But my favourite look? It would have to be the full bodysuit worn under a boyfriend blazer and topped off with shin-high boots. The effect was very 70s Hollywood meets 21st Century model-off-duty. In all, this collection was a complete wardrobe for the woman whose middle name is 'Wild One'.
